I really do heart Pepper Lunch USA.

I've been coming here since college (~7 years ago) and quality has remained the same. It's still a really small restaurant, but the wait is worth for a few reasons:
A) The garlic butter, duh.
B) Delicious beef
C) Curry udon... ofc.
D) Sizzling plate, woo!

But overall, service is great and fast (because it basically cooks right infront of you) and everyone's always been super friendly and welcoming no matter how busy! Definitely recommend.

The OG teppanyaki place! I have loved this place for years and always love to go whenever I have the chance. This place is in a huge plaza so typically you can find parking somewhere. I came on a Friday night for dinner and was seated right away. It didn't get too crowded yet throughout our whole dinner. It's a cute restaurant with plenty of seating. The service was quick and nice.

I always order the Curry Beef Pepper Udon and it never disappoints! It came out relatively quick and comes in a hot sizzling plate. I love to add extra sauce that they provide at the tables. The food is always so flavorful and it stays warm throughout your whole meal.

Love this place and definitely recommend to come and get their udons or rice sizzling plates!!

It's been a while since I've been back but it was a little disappointing during my last visit. The food was still delicious it just seemed a little disproportionate with the rice. They put so much rice on my place with such little meat. The service was lacking as well. I asked for water several times before given water. I'd still come back because it's cheap and good but it's not the same as it used to be.

Portions could be bigger given the constant price increases, but you could add extra carbs and extra meat for just $4 more (at the time of this review). You can ask for free garlic butter to melt on top of your food. It really adds a nice hit of umami.

I went here for lunch and thoroughly really enjoyed the food. I've been to Japan and ate something similar where they serve you meat on a stone grill as well. This is quite comparable for something located in the bay area! I got the curry udon and salmon and beef plate. I think it's priced pretty fair for how much food you get. We came right before the crowd rush so we were lucky, service was quick, and def would love to come here again! No complaints really. The interior is a little small and it's be great to expand since they have a lot of customers

food: 9/10! We both got complimentary miso soup and water right when we got seated. The miso soup was very good and even had some noodles inside. Both dishes were super good, and you absolutely have to order an egg on the side! I definitely would say the portions are very filling and I even took my leftovers home. Each table has garlic soy and teriyaki sauce to add to the dish for more flavor.
service: 9/10. Usually Pepper Lunch is quite busy, but since we went on a weekday lunch, we got seated right away. Our waiter also didn't take too long to come take our order. The food came very fast!
ambiance: very social! everyone is chatting and having a good time. There's music playing in the background and you can hear the plates sizzling when they are served.
There is plenty of parking in the big parking lot, and if you come here with a large group on weekends, expect there to be a wait!

I've come here a few times and I've always been happy with the service and food.

We came on a late Thursday night and were seated right away. The menu is all though the QR code so we scanned the code and decided what to eat pretty quick. We were hungry!

We ordered the gyozas, sweet potato fries and the beef pepper udon. Everything came out shortly after we ordered and it was delicious!

The gyozas were hot and crunchy. The fries were enough to share between the two of us. Of course the beef udon was delicious. My only complaint was that I didn't get the extra garlic butter I ordered but I'm still happy since this satisfied my Pepper Lunch craving.

The restaurant wasn't super busy and everyone was being served quickly. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the South Bay so I'm glad I got to share it with a friend this time!
